Follow along on SQL Server
You have decided to dedicate some of your time to learn SQL. Congratulations! I think this is a great decision and you picked a pretty good book to get started on the SQL trail. On this site you can find additional information to expand your learning with a few more ways to get engaged.
The scripts are available after an email address has been entered into the form below.
What do the scripts include?
The download includes four files to help you follow along with the book. They do not include a way to install SQL Server–you will need to do that on your own.
- CreateObjectsSQLServer.sql contains all the statements to create the tables, views, and other objects used in the book.
- InsertQueriesSQLServer.sql contains the insert statements to populate the tables.
- InsertOptionValues.sql contains some additional examples of objects not referenced in the book.
- SQLServerQueries.sql contains all the queries from the books so you can run them and see the results.
Hi, I’m Carlos L Chacon and I am the author of the Zero to SQL in 20 lessons book. Thanks for coming to the site and I hope you enhance your learning by following along with the examples I created in the book. I want to create something that is real world, but also helps connect the dots so the material makes sense and you can start applying it right away!
In my spare time, I am the managing partner at SQL Data Partners and live with my family in Richmond, Virginia. I haven’t tried it yet, but I am pretty sure I can eat my weight in raspberries.
I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
As you go through the book or the site, I would really enjoying hearing from you. What helped you? Is there anything unclear? Feel free to reach out and let me know! I am available via Twitter, comments on this site, or by filling out the form below.

Why do you require an email address?
I want to follow up with you in a couple of days to see how it is going. I don’t pass along email information to anyone. The purpose of this site is to help you learn SQL. If you aren’t finding value in what I send, you can unsubscribe at any time and we can still be friends. 🙂
